Khozinudin's Furious, 74 Kg of Gold in Febrie's House Tied to Islamic Da'wah: This Is an Insult!
Attorney Ahmad Khozinudin voiced his anger after the 74 kg of gold found at the home of former Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus) Febrie Adriansyah in Sentul, Bogor, were linked to Islamic da'wah. He sees that connection as an insult to the noble teachings of Islam. Don Ritto's lawyer, Handika Honggowongso, previously claimed those assets were operational funds for a da'wah and Islamic education foundation, not Febrie's personal property. Khozinudin questioned the logic of a da'wah foundation hoarding huge amounts of gold and cash while so many orphans, the poor, and Islamic boarding schools need help. He stressed that Islam only accepts halal wealth for charity and rejects using corruption money for da'wah activities. "In Islam, corruption is a ta'zir crime that can carry the death penalty, not something where the money gets used for da'wah," he said.
