The Pasuruan Regency Government held a joint prayer to commemorate the Islamic New Year 1 Muharram 1448 H, attended by Regent Rusdi Sutejo, Vice Regent Shobih Asrori, and several Islamic scholars including PCNU Chairman KH Imron Mutamakkin.
Regent Rusdi offered prayers for Pasuruan Regency to be protected from harm and to become a region that is baldatun toyyibatun wa robbun ghofur (a good land under God's forgiveness). He invited the community to use the spirit of hijrah to change from bad attitudes to noble character, from division to unity, and to increase productivity and care.
KH Imron Mutamakkin emphasized the meaning of hijrah as a moment for introspection and self-improvement, strengthening brotherhood, and building a civilization based on faith and piety. He reminded that the new year should be a means of evaluation and self-improvement.
The Regent concluded with the hope that the new year brings blessings, peace, and progress for the entire community, and stressed the importance of unity and mutual cooperation in facing development challenges.
