Iran Could Gain Rp8.6 Trillion Per Day If Hormuz Strait Is Opened Following Peace Deal
The United States has expressed readiness to lift the blockade of the Hormuz Strait if a peace agreement with Iran is realized. President Donald Trump emphasized that opening the strait would provide substantial benefits for Iran.
Trump stated that Iran could earn about 500 million dollars, or Rp8.6 trillion, daily once the Hormuz Strait is reopened. However, that gain would only be granted after a peace agreement is reached between the two nations.
The statement was made by Trump at the White House on Friday (24/4/2026). Iran has so far refused to continue peace negotiations as the US still maintains a blockade on its ports in the Hormuz Strait.
