Hundreds of Jombang Hajj Pilgrims Return, One Pilgrim Dies in Mecca

A total of 535 hajj pilgrims from Jombang Regency, part of Kloter 60 and 61, arrived back home on Wednesday (17/6). Jombang Regent Warsubi welcomed them at the Pendopo and prayed that their pilgrimage be accepted by Allah SWT and that they achieve hajj mabrur. One pilgrim named Sukipan, a resident of Tanjunggunung Village, Peterongan District, from Kloter 61, passed away in Saudi Arabia just before departure due to a stroke. This brings the total number of Jombang hajj pilgrims who died during the 2026 season to four. Warsubi offered condolences on behalf of the local government. The head of the Jombang Ministry of Hajj Office, Ilham Rohim, stated that all deceased pilgrims are entitled to insurance benefits according to regulations. The return process is ongoing, with Kloter 62 and 63 scheduled to arrive on Thursday (18/6).
