Good News for Madrasa Teachers, Ministry of Religious Affairs Prepares 14,080 Slots for Competency Test for Promotion
The Ministry of Religious Affairs (MoRA) is preparing 14,080 slots for the 2026 Madrasa Teacher Competency Test for Promotion (UKKJ). A total of 2,319 slots are allocated for the Junior Expert level and 11,761 for the Associate Expert level.
Fesal Musaad, Director of GTK Madrasa, stated that UKKJ aims to build a culture of lifelong learning to enhance competence and learning quality. The verification and data synchronization process for prospective participants is being finalized through coordination meetings with various parties.
Imam Bukhori, Head of Sub-directorate of GTK Madrasa Development, explained that the current focus is on aligning regulations, validating data, and preparing the timeline. The UKKJ is planned for October 2026, after socialization and verification by prospective participants.
This program is a continuation of the 2024 UKKJ, which graduated 11,339 teachers. The MoRA hopes more madrasa teachers will have the opportunity to advance their functional position levels based on competence, to strengthen professionalism and the quality of madrasa education.
