Death scares me

Assalamu alaikum. Honestly, I can’t enjoy life these days. My mind keeps going to the fact that one day, I’ll die, and everyone I love will too-and then everything just ends. It’s so overwhelming. I was a Muslim when I was younger, and my family still practices. Lately, I’ve been drawn back to Islam because the idea of an afterlife gives me some hope. Back then, I drifted away from Allah for silly reasons, and now I feel like I’ve strayed so far. I really want to reconnect with Him. Sorry if I’m not saying this right-I never learned much.
