Ahead of the 35th NU Congress in Jombang, Gus Ipul: All Sections Must Move Fast
The organizing committee for the 35th Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) Congress started firming up preparations through their first working meeting at Bahrul Ulum Tambakberas Islamic Boarding School in Jombang on Thursday (16/7) evening. The meeting was attended by PBNU officials, SC, PWNU, PCNU, and the host pesantren's board.
OC chairman Saifullah Yusuf (Gus Ipul) called on every section to quickly draft work plans so the prep runs smoothly. The committee is beginning to inventory major needs like accommodation, meals, meeting venues, and the opening ceremony area for thousands of participants from different regions.
They're also setting up participant services, including arrival flow, logistics distribution, and departures, plus security involving 200–400 Banser personnel. Coordination will be held regularly, both face-to-face and online.
Gus Ipul hopes the synergy among the committee, local government, and all parties can bring about a congress that’s safe, orderly, and provides the best service.
