A Thought About Jannah: Our Eternal Home

Salaam everyone, just something I was thinking about. We believe that in Jannah, we can ask Allah for anything our hearts desire. So, if we can ask for anything, what's the special significance of also having a house prepared for us there? Couldn't we just ask Him for our own perfect world with everything we want? It makes you ponder the wisdom behind it all.
