A Glimpse of the Last Days

The Prophet (ﷺ) shared that there will come a time when a Muslim’s most treasured possession will be his flock of sheep. He’ll head to the hilltops and rainy valleys, trying to protect his faith from the trials around him (Bukhari). There’s also the story from Abu Sa'id Khudri where a man asked the Messenger (ﷺ): "Who is the finest person?" He answered: "Someone who strives in Allah’s path, giving his wealth and his very life." The man then said: "And after him?" The Prophet (ﷺ) replied: "A believer who secludes himself in a mountain pass, devoting himself to worship and keeping his harm away from people" (Muslim). Honestly, I feel like we’re living in those times now, at least for some of us.
