Worrying events in northern Pakistan - an attack on a police training center and arrests at a rally
Assalamu alaikum, brothers and sisters! On Saturday, there was a terrorist attack in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan - terrorists attacked a police training center. As a result, 7 police officers and 6 militants were killed.
The day before, rockets and drones were intercepted in the sky over Kabul, supposedly launched from Pakistani territory to target Noor Wali Mehsud - the leader of the Pakistani Taliban. Islamabad authorities accuse him of destabilizing the situation and organizing terrorist attacks in the northern part of the country.
At the gates of the training center, a car bomb exploded, causing a wall to collapse and killing two people under the rubble. Another five police officers died in a shootout with the terrorists. In total, 7 of our brothers became shuhada, and 13 were injured. Fortunately, all 200 students of the center were safely evacuated and remained unharmed, - said police spokesperson Yakub Khan.
At the same time, a march in support of Palestine took place in Lahore, organized by the Tehreek-e-Labbaik party without official permission. Police detained over 100 participants. Since Friday, law enforcement has been trying to disperse the protesters using tear gas and rubber batons, while the protesters respond by throwing stones. There are reports of several official vehicles being seized and one police car set on fire. Several officers were injured, and some went missing - their whereabouts are still unknown.
May Allah protect our brothers and sisters and give them strength to get through these trials. Let’s pray for the fallen shuhada and for peace in these countries.
Just a reminder, Islam means submission to the will of Allah, and our ummah counts over a billion believers, united by faith and a desire for justice.
