Who Is the First Human to Be Resurrected on the Day of Judgment?
Believing in the Day of Judgment is a pillar of faith that every Muslim must hold. This event is preceded by the blowing of the trumpet by the Angel Israfil, which destroys all creatures, then it is blown again for the resurrection of humans from their graves to the Plain of Gathering. Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) is the first human to be resurrected, as he said: "I am the leader of the children of Adam on the Day of Judgment. I am the first one to rise from the grave..." (Narrated by Muslim).
When resurrected, the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) receives honors, such as being accompanied by 70,000 angels, riding the Buraq, and the Muslim nation being the first to have their deeds reckoned. Allah SWT says in Surah Az-Zalzalah verses 6-8 about the reckoning of every deed. The first person from the Muslim nation to be reckoned is Abdullah ibn Abdul Asad, who receives his book of deeds in his right hand as a sign of salvation.
Another privilege is the intercession of the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) for his nation. He holds the Banner of Praise and continues to seek forgiveness until the last person being punished is taken out of Hell, showing the greatness of his compassion for his nation.
