What to say when someone believes you don't need religion to know right from wrong?
Assalamu Alaikum, I recently had a respectful conversation with a non-Muslim coworker. He shared that, while he grew up in a Christian background, he now feels you don't need divine guidance to distinguish good from bad-that people can figure it out themselves. I know morality can be quite subjective without a firm foundation, but I found it a bit challenging to answer clearly. How would you gently explain the Islamic perspective on this? Jazakum Allahu Khayran.
