Assalamu alaikum! A big forum dedicated to the Day of National Unity took place in Makhachkala. The event brought together government officials, scholars, representatives from public and religious organizations, patriotic and volunteer movements, students from Dagestani universities and colleges, and many others.
On behalf of the acting Minister for National Policy and Religious Affairs of the Republic of Dagestan, Temirlan Abutalimedov, the participants were welcomed by the head of the National Policy and Information Support Department of the Ministry of Nationalities of the Republic of Dagestan, Magomed Daitbegov. He reminded everyone that the Day of National Unity isn’t just a nod to the past, but a reminder that Russia is strong because of the unity and courage of its multinational people. According to him, Dagestan is an example of brotherhood, peace, and harmony among people living together and contributing to the development of the region and the country. Such forums help strengthen civic solidarity.
