UAE Accuses Iran of Launching Ballistic Missiles at Fujairah Port, Iran Denies It
The United Arab Emirates (UAE) accused Iran of firing two ballistic missiles at the port of Fujairah on Tuesday (18/8/2026). The UAE Ministry of Defense said the missiles targeted maritime traffic and fell into the sea.
Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmail Baghae denied the accusation, calling it a baseless claim. The UAE Ministry of Defense stressed its full readiness to face any threats that could disrupt the country's security stability.
Earlier, the UAE Ministry of Interior had sent an air raid warning to residents, which was lifted a few hours later. A few days ago, the UAE also accused Iran of attacking an ADNOC ship in the Strait of Hormuz, though Iran never claimed responsibility.
