Turkey Drags Netanyahu onto Interpol's Wanted List
A court in Istanbul, Turkey, has issued an international arrest warrant through Interpol for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. The decision was made by the Istanbul 11th Criminal Court on Tuesday (14/7/2026), in connection with the detention of Global Sumud Flotilla activists.
Earlier, in November 2025, the Istanbul Prosecutor's Office also issued an arrest warrant for Netanyahu over genocide charges in Gaza. A new investigation was opened after Israeli forces detained volunteers who were trying to deliver humanitarian aid to Gaza last October.
Evidence of crimes against humanity was presented by doctors who examined the activists after deportation. Turkey's Foreign Ministry condemned the Israeli Navy's actions as an act of piracy and a violation of international law.
