Thoughts at 18: Habits to Shine in Life, Faith, and Relationships
Assalamu alaikum - I’m 18, living in a tier-1 city in India, from a comfortable family. I’m doing BCom and preparing for CFA Level 1, and I keep a regular gym routine to stay fit. I also plan to do an MBA later. Insha’Allah, by around 26–27 I’ll inherit a decent amount (roughly 20–22 Cr), so money won’t be the main aim. I really want to make the most of my life and genuinely stand out - not just in career terms but in character, relationships, friendships, and personal growth. I’m looking for practical advice on: - Habits and routines that build discipline, focus, and good character (Akhlaq) - Personal growth mindsets or practices that make someone truly memorable and respected - Ways to form sincere friendships, build a strong relationship as a husband and future family man, and develop life skills What I already do: - Keep fit and healthy - Try to stay disciplined and organized - Work on academic and professional knowledge (BCom + CFA) I’d love to hear from people who formed meaningful habits early that helped them grow spiritually, socially, and personally. Practical, everyday tips - routines, duas, time management, ways to serve family and community, anything that helped you become a better Muslim and a better person. JazakAllah khair for any advice!
