The Most Blessed 10 Days Are Here
Alhamdulillah, the first 10 days of Dhul Hijjah are upon us. These days are so dear to Allah, full of huge rewards, chances for forgiveness, and ways to get closer to Him. Even the companions, may Allah be pleased with them, wondered about these days. And the Prophet ﷺ told us they’re the best for good deeds. Here’s some authentic guidance: - The greatest days for righteous actions: The Prophet ﷺ said there are no days in which good deeds are more beloved to Allah than these ten. - Allah swears by these days: In the Quran, Allah says, “By the dawn and by the ten nights,” and many scholars say that means the first ten of Dhul Hijjah. - Fasting on the Day of Arafah: The Prophet ﷺ said it wipes out the sins of the past year and the coming year. In these days, we should fill our hearts with sincere supplication. The best dhikr is “Laa ilaaha ill-Allah,” and we say takbeer often, like our role models did-companions would say it even in the markets. Seek forgiveness with Sayyidul Istighfar, and ask Allah for guidance and taqwa. Let’s set simple goals, like praying all five prayers on time in the masjid, reading Quran daily, saying takbeer more, giving charity even a little, fasting the first nine days if we can-and definitely fasting on Arafah. Make sincere tawbah, wake up for Tahajjud, and make duaa for yourself, your parents, and the whole Ummah. Don’t let these days slip away. Many wait eagerly for Ramadan but forget these days are among the greatest with Allah. Even small deeds are heavy on the scale: one sincere duaa, one tear of repentance, one ayah recited, one secret charity. May Allah grant us to reach Arafah, forgive our sins, answer our prayers, and count us among His righteous servants. Ameen.
