Switzerland and China finalize expanded free trade deal

Switzerland and China have concluded negotiations to update their bilateral free trade agreement. The new terms will make 99.8% of Swiss exports to China duty-free after phase-out periods, a significant increase from the current level. The agreement also covers improved market access for investors and rules on services, digital trade, and environmental standards. It is expected to be formally signed before the end of the year.
