Pasuruan Prosecutor's Office and Religious Court Legalize Guardianship Status for 22 Children at Metal Foundation
The Pasuruan District Prosecutor's Office and Religious Court have appointed guardians for 22 children at the Metal Muslim Indonesia Foundation. This step provides legal certainty and ensures the children's administrative rights, like education and healthcare.
Pasuruan Chief Prosecutor Rustandi Gustawirya said this program is a follow-up to directives from the East Java High Prosecutor's Office. The guardianship ruling has been issued for 22 children, and similar applications may be made for other eligible children.
Bangil Religious Court Chief Yurita Heldayanti explained that the request was filed by the State Attorney and processed through the judicial system. The children in question have unknown parental identities, as stated in their birth certificates.
This guardianship status will be followed up with the Population and Civil Registration Agency to ensure it is officially recorded.
