Nganjuk Regency Tightens Grant Requirements for Worship Places and Pesantren for Transparent Governance

The Nganjuk Regency Government, through the Regional Secretariat, held a Public Consultation Forum to evaluate the mechanism for proposing grants for the construction of worship places, Islamic boarding schools (pesantren), and Quranic education centers (TPQ). Assistant for Governance and People's Welfare, Tri Wahju Kuntjoro, emphasized that administrative order is the main key to grant distribution. Grants are only disbursed through formal request letters, technical proposals, and complete legal documents of the institution, in accordance with Regent Regulation No. 42 of 2023. This regulation details the budgeting, implementation, accountability, and monitoring-evaluation from the regional budget (APBD). The forum involved the Ministry of Religious Affairs, religious forums, community leaders, and the press to gather input. Tri Wahju hopes that active participation from all elements of society can create transparent and accountable public services.
