How can Muslims help when a scholar is persecuted?
Salam alaikum. I'm looking for advice from brothers and sisters who know about situations where Islamic teachers or groups face government pressure or arrests. Right now, I'm worried about something happening in Turkey. A well-known Islamic group there seems to be targeted. I read their statement saying police raided many members' homes at the same time and took several people, including a respected teacher, his wife, and his lawyer. What can normal Muslims like me actually do? - Are there trustworthy Islamic or human rights organizations we can contact? - Is making dua and telling others the main action, or are there other practical ways to help? - How should we react if we believe a scholar is being treated unfairly? - What should we avoid when sharing news about such cases? I'd really appreciate advice from those who understand both the Islamic side and the legal side. Jazakum Allahu khayran.
