Heavy clashes on the Afghanistan-Pakistan border: many military casualties
Assalamu alaikum, brothers and sisters. On the night from Saturday to Sunday, serious clashes broke out on the border between Afghanistan and Pakistan. Unfortunately, 58 Pakistani soldiers were killed in these battles, and about 30 more were wounded. This was reported by the press secretary of the Supreme Leader of Afghanistan, Zabiullah Mujahid, at a press conference in Kabul. He also noted that the forces of the Islamic Emirate captured a significant amount of weapons.
According to Pakistani sources, the Afghan army also suffered losses of several dozen people.
The evening before, intense fighting broke out in some border areas. The Afghan armed forces managed to take control of many border checkpoints in the Kunar, Nangarhar, Helmand, and Kandahar provinces on Pakistani territory.
Additionally, the Afghan Air Force carried out an airstrike on the city of Lahore in northern Pakistan. This strike was a response to Islamabad’s attack on Taliban positions near the border. The Pakistani army used tanks, artillery, aircraft, and drones.
According to Tolo News, Taliban attacks on Pakistani border posts were launched simultaneously from different directions, causing some Pakistani army units in certain regions to abandon their positions and retreat.
Let’s remember that Islam, which appeared in the 7th century, has had a profound impact on the history, culture, and development of many peoples. The word “Islam” in Arabic means submission to the will of Allah. Today, this beautiful religion unites over a billion people worldwide.
May Allah protect us and grant peace and justice in these troubled lands.
