Exploring Islam with a Potential Convert's Heart
Assalamu alaikum, everyone. I've been pondering a big step lately. I've always considered myself agnostic-believing there might be a higher power out there, with various faiths worshipping in their own ways. So, I never committed to one religion, just tried to live kindly and do good where I could. Recently, I met a wonderful Muslim sister at university, and I genuinely admire her enough to consider pursuing marriage (I've always dated with that intention, seriously). She probably thinks I'm Christian. I understand that in Islam, it's not permissible to marry outside the faith, and I'm actually open to converting for her-but I want to do it right. Before making any decisions, I really want to learn more about Islam. I figure starting with the Qur'an makes sense, but what should I study next? If anyone has resources in English or Romanian, I'd be so grateful for any recommendations. Also, is it wrong for me to approach it this way? Just being honest here. She likely doesn't know I'm interested, and even if she feels something back, she'd probably keep it to herself since I'm not Muslim yet. If it's okay to ask-don't want to be rude-I'd appreciate any advice. I haven't had much interaction with Muslims before meeting her, so any guidance would mean a lot. Jazakum Allahu khayran in advance, and sorry if I come across awkwardly!
