As-salamu alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh! du, the leading telecom operator in Dubai, has just announced a special artificial intelligence zone called AI Park. This new hub is designed to bring together local and international organisations to help grow the UAE’s AI ecosystem, all while supporting the nation’s ambitious plans in this field.
The AI Park, launched during a major technology event in Dubai, will offer the infrastructure needed for AI-focused companies, startups, and research centres. It will also attract global AI firms to collaborate and innovate within the UAE.
Spanning 500,000 square metres in Dubai’s Warsan area, the park will host advanced data centres equipped with liquid cooling and high capacity to handle demanding AI tasks. Besides the tech infrastructure, the park aims to be a safe space for innovators to develop, test, and scale AI solutions right here at home.
The project will be developed gradually over five years, focusing on research, incubation, and powerful computing resources. du’s CEO, Fahad Al Hassawi, highlighted that today’s governments and businesses want real AI solutions that work now, not just ideas for the future.
du has partnered with major technology companies like Microsoft, Oracle, Nvidia, and Amazon Web Services to accelerate AI innovation while ensuring top operational standards.
In addition, du plans to open an innovation centre and play a bigger role in Dubai Silicon Park, aligning with the UAE’s smart city goals. This shows how telecom companies are evolving beyond just connectivity to become key enablers of digital and economic growth.
Recently, du upgraded its 5G+ network to support smart city projects and encourage innovation among startups, reflecting the rising demand for smart digital services in our community.
