Eid al-Adha Sermon in Tanjong Seulamat, Ustadz Mizaj Iskandar Stresses the Meaning of Obedience and Sacrifice
Ustadz Dr. Tgk. H. Mizaj Iskandar, LC., LLM delivered the Eid al-Adha 1447 H sermon at Babul Maghfirah Mosque, Gampong Tanjong Seulamat, Aceh Besar, on Wednesday (27/5/2026). He urged Muslims to strengthen sincerity and submission to Allah SWT through the act of sacrifice.
In his sermon, he emphasized that sacrifice is a noble act of worship recommended for Muslims who are able. Quoting Surah Al-Kautsar verse 2, he reminded that the essence of Eid al-Adha lies in carrying out the sacrifice, not merely a manifestation of the Hajj pilgrimage. He also explained the differences in acts of worship between Hajj pilgrims and Muslims back home.
Mizaj Iskandar cited the obedience of Prophet Ibrahim AS, who was commanded to slaughter Prophet Ismail AS, as mentioned in Surah Ash-Shaffat verse 102. He stressed that every act of worship must be based on the commands of Allah and His Messenger, even if it sometimes goes beyond human logic.
The Eid al-Adha prayer was led by Drs. Tgk. H. M. Aji Adam and attended by Keuchik Fadhli H. Nurdin, S.Pd., M.Pd, Head of Tuha Peut Drs. H. Amiruddin Yacob, Head of BKM Wirzaini Usman, S.Hi., M.I.Kom, along with the local community.
