Dubai Police Successfully Bust Drug Trafficking Network Operating From a Villa
As-salamu alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh. The Dubai Police have successfully broken up a drug trafficking ring that was operating out of a residential villa. During a recent raid, authorities arrested two individuals from Asia and confiscated 40kg of illegal substances, including ketamine, crystal meth, marijuana, and hashish oil. The investigation revealed that the operation was being managed by a trafficker based overseas. The operation, called “Operation Villa,” involved careful surveillance and strategic moves by the police. They first set a trap for one gang member, who upon arrest, cooperated and provided information about his partner. This led to the follow-up arrest of the accomplice, who was caught packaging drugs. Further questioning confirmed that both suspects were working under the direction of a leader controlling the network from abroad. Brigadier Khalid bin Muwaiza, director of the Anti-Narcotics department, emphasized that this success highlights Dubai Police’s ongoing commitment to protecting the community by dismantling drug networks, regardless of where their masterminds operate. The force uses advanced crime-fighting technologies, including artificial intelligence, alongside the expertise of dedicated officers. The public is encouraged to support these efforts by reporting any suspicious activities via the police call center at 901 or through the “Police Eye” feature on the Dubai Police app. May Allah protect our communities from harm and guide us all to safety.
