BAZNAS Distributes Qurbani Meat to Palestinian Refugees in Egypt

The National Amil Zakat Agency (BAZNAS) of Indonesia has delivered qurbani meat packages to around 2,500 Palestinian refugees in Cairo, Egypt. This aid reflects the solidarity of the Indonesian people with Palestinians affected by the conflict and displaced from their homeland. BAZNAS Chairman Dr. Ir. H. Sodik Mudjahid, M.Sc., said the distribution is a tangible form of care to meet refugees' nutritional needs. This international program is part of BAZNAS' commitment to expanding the benefits of zakat, infaq, sadaqah, and qurbani funds for those in need, and strengthening Islamic brotherhood across nations. The distribution took place at Ridwan Hall, As-Salam Mosque, Nasr City, Cairo, on Monday (1/6/2026), attended by the Indonesian Ambassador to Egypt, Kuncoro Giri Waseso. The ambassador expressed appreciation for the Indonesian people's concern and prayed that the qurbani be accepted and bring wide-reaching benefits. Palestinian refugee Asyraf Muhammad thanked BAZNAS for the support during Eid al-Adha.
