A Thought That Never Hit Me Before

Assalamualaikum everyone, I was listening to a talk by a scholar recently, and something he said just clicked in my head. He explained that Islam is about fully giving yourself to Allah. A lot of us think, "Well, I don't pray but at least I stay away from drinking, stealing, zina, and all that." But really, that's just following our own nafs (desires), not truly surrendering to the Almighty. What he said made so much sense, so I wanted to pass it along. No matter how we feel, we gotta obey all of Allah's commands without holding back-only then are we truly surrendered.
