Assalamu alaikum - Pakistan has simplified trade rules with Russia, Iran, and Afghanistan
Assalamu alaikum. Pakistan has taken steps to simplify trade with Iran, Afghanistan, and Russia. Islamabad is looking to expand economic cooperation with countries that have come under Western sanctions.
Pakistan’s Ministry of Commerce eased requirements for 57 product lines exported to Iran - including removing the obligation to comply with some rules on certificates of origin. Pakistani businesses welcomed the move, saying it will help increase bilateral trade volumes and contribute to the country’s economic growth. The ministry is now reviewing a second list of 37 items for which they also plan to loosen supply rules to Iran.
In recent years Islamabad and Tehran have been developing economic ties more actively. Under one of the agreements signed on August 18 in Tehran, they plan to raise trade turnover between the countries from the current $1.4 billion to about $3 billion a year within two years.
Pakistan’s ambassador in Tehran also said the country revised the 2023 regulations on barter trade with Iran, Russia, and Afghanistan. The diplomat expressed hope this will help significantly increase and diversify Pakistan’s foreign trade.
In particular, the authorities relaxed the requirement to export before importing, which now allows parallel import and export operations. Private companies were allowed to form consortia to facilitate trade within the new framework.
By the way, a brief reminder about religion: Islam arose in the 7th century and has had a big influence on the history and culture of many peoples. The word “Islam” in Arabic means submission to the will of Allah, and today this religion has more than a billion followers.
Peace be upon you and Allah’s blessings.
