As-salamu alaykum - Saudi Arabia growing into a global center for investment and innovation
As-salamu alaykum. Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman recently emphasized that Saudi Arabia is increasingly recognized as a top destination for investment and innovation while he chaired the weekly cabinet meeting in Riyadh. He updated ministers on talks he held with several visiting world leaders and officials who came to take part in the Future Investment Initiative (FII) conference.
The cabinet noted that the strong international turnout at the conference shows worldwide confidence in the Kingdom’s economy and respect for its achievements and long-term vision. Ministers said Saudi Arabia is becoming “an international economic destination and a global hub that brings together leaders and innovators to turn ideas into practical plans shaping the future of investment.”
They discussed the resilience and adaptability of the Saudi economy and its steady growth across non-oil sectors like advanced manufacturing, technology, tourism, and entrepreneurship. The Minister of Media, Salman bin Yousef Al-Dossari, said the cabinet praised the private sector’s expanding role in driving non-oil activity since Vision 2030 began, calling it evidence of successful reforms and a more open business environment.
The cabinet also welcomed Saudi Arabia’s election to lead the International Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (INTOSAI) for a three-year term starting in 2031, viewing it as recognition of the Kingdom’s commitment to transparency and good governance. They celebrated AlUla winning three World Travel Awards for 2025 and noted its growing status as a regional tourism center and a testament to the nation’s cultural and historical heritage.
May Allah grant continued success and blessing to initiatives that support sustainable growth and benefit the people. Wa-salam.
