Addressing Struggles with Attraction

Assalamu alaykum, brothers and sisters. I often find myself wrestling with impure thoughts when encountering someone, particularly if they're dressed modestly. It's something I'm trying to overcome for the sake of my spiritual peace. Does anyone have advice on how to fully cleanse these urges from my mind? Jazakallahu khairan for any guidance.
