Welcoming 1 Muharram 1448 H, Aceh Besar Holds Ta’aruf Parade

The Aceh Besar district government is gonna hold a Ta’aruf Parade on Monday night, June 15, 2026, at 8:30 PM WIB in the Lambaro area, Ingin Jaya sub-district, to welcome the Islamic New Year 1 Muharram 1448 Hijriah. Head of the Aceh Besar Islamic Sharia Office, Rusdi, S.Sos, M.Si, said this event is an effort for Islamic propagation and invites folks to reflect and strengthen Islamic values. The parade is competed in two categories: decorated cars (L-300 vehicles) and pedestrians, involving villages, taklim assemblies, students, and community organizations. A technical meeting will be held on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at 10:00 AM WIB in the UDKP Hall of Ingin Jaya sub-district, discussing competition rules and the route. The pedestrian route starts from Lambaro Jami Mosque/MPP, passes the Lambaro Roundabout, Lamreung Junction, Meuligoe Wali Nanggroe, and returns to the starting point. The committee provides prizes, certificates, and the Aceh Besar Regent's Rotating Trophy for winners. Rusdi hopes for active community participation to strengthen Islamic brotherhood and a sense of togetherness.
