Was my dua accepted then taken away?
Assalamu alaikum, I'll try to keep this short, but please stay and help me out. I've been making dua to get into one of my chosen universities for Pharmacy. On A-Level results day (yesterday), I got an email saying I didn't get into my firm choice, but my insurance choice was still pending. I went to school, got my results-they weren't great-and realized I probably didn't meet the requirements for my insurance either. So my friend and I called the university through clearing to do a foundation year, then transfer to Pharmacy. Around noon, my friend and I got an email about a background check and DBS, which made us think our insurance choice was still possible since it didn't say rejected. We got excited and sent the forms right away. We called the university to confirm, because we didn't want to lose our clearing spot in case they offered a different course. That evening, I checked UCAS and it said I got admission into Pharmacy directly, not the foundation year. My friend got the foundation year offer. I was so happy-I wouldn't need to switch after foundation year. I had been making constant dua for that, and my mum was also making dua for me. But the university portal showed foundation year, while UCAS showed Pharmacy. I called them, but it was after hours. They called me this morning, and I explained the situation. They said they'd sync it so both showed Pharmacy. I thought my duas were accepted. Then, I got another call saying it was a mistake and they had to put me on the foundation year. They changed it back immediately. Sorry for the long post. My question is: Did Allah (SWT) accept my dua and then take it away? Or am I misunderstanding this?
