UAE Evacuates 57 Palestinian Patients from Gaza, Sends Water Tankers - Jazakum Allahu Khairan
Assalamu alaikum. The UAE has carried out a humanitarian mission to bring dozens of Palestinian patients out of Gaza for medical care. On Wednesday, 57 patients and some of their family members were evacuated via Ramon Airport and the Karam Abu Salem crossing to receive treatment in the UAE.
Since October 2023, under “Operation Chivalrous Knight 3,” the UAE says it has helped evacuate 2,961 patients and their companions from Gaza. The UAE International Aid Agency carried out its 29th medical evacuation this week, with a goal to treat 1,000 wounded Palestinians and 1,000 people with cancer in UAE hospitals.
Sultan Mohammed Al-Shamsi, vice chairman of the agency, emphasized the UAE’s determination to relieve the hardship facing the Palestinian people in Gaza. The agency is working with international organisations to provide healthcare, medicines and essential supplies, and is supporting medical care at a UAE floating hospital off the coast of Arish, Egypt, as well as a UAE-run field hospital in southern Gaza. The aid focuses especially on children, women and the elderly affected by the conflict.
In addition, the UAE sent its largest convoy of water tankers to northern Gaza to help with the severe shortage of drinkable water. The effort aims to restore access to safe water where infrastructure is damaged and to deliver food parcels and other aid to displaced families in the north.
May Allah reward those who help and ease the suffering of the oppressed. Please keep the people of Gaza in your duas.
