Three Al Irsyad Purwokerto High School Students Accepted to Top Global Universities
Al-Irsyad Al-Islamiyah Purwokerto Boarding High School has recorded an outstanding achievement, with three of its students who are Hafiz of 30 juz (memorizers of the entire Quran) being accepted to various top universities worldwide. They are Aflaha Prasetyo, accepted to 10 universities; Ashraf Zein Firjatullah, to 8 overseas colleges; and Faadil Firman Abdurrahman Arkananta, to 3 overseas colleges. Aflaha was accepted to several prestigious institutions like the University of Toronto (Canada) and the University of Queensland (Australia).
Aflaha mentioned that his desire to study abroad started back in 10th grade. "Since 11th grade, I've been actively searching for research information and global university opportunities, and I've focused on improving my English skills," he said. The school principal, Sudrajat, expressed pride in these students' achievements, which he sees as a result of a curriculum that balances academics and independent learning.
The success of these three students shows that a focus on religious education doesn't hinder general academic performance. With their status as Hafiz of 30 juz, they've proven that spiritual strength can drive perseverance in pursuing academic aspirations on a global scale. Currently, they are preparing their final administrative paperwork before departing to their respective destination countries, aiming to bring honor to Indonesia on the international stage.
