Syahganda Nainggolan Calls Rocky Gerung and Prabowo 'Heirs of PSI'
BANDA ACEH – Head of the Republic of Indonesia's Communication Agency (Bakom), Syahganda Nainggolan, sees Rocky Gerung and President Prabowo Subianto as two figures you could call 'heirs of PSI', referring to the Indonesian Socialist Party founded by Sutan Sjahrir back in 1948. In his view, that shared ideological wavelength is why Rocky hasn’t been too outspoken in criticizing Prabowo, and they'd only really split if the values he holds dear get violated.
He threw in that remark during the Total Politik podcast before being sworn in as Head of Bakom RI, stressing that both fellas are on 'the same ideological server'. "I haven't seen any differences yet," he said, while still respecting the socialist leanings of both figures.
Rocky Gerung is currently serving as a member of the Presidential Advisory Council (Wantimpres) after being sworn in by President Prabowo Subianto on October 2, 2026.
