Surabaya Slaughterhouse Ensures Safe Beef Supply, Top Quality Still at Rp 150,000 per Kg

The price of top quality beef in several Surabaya markets still holds at Rp 150,000 per kilogram. The Surabaya Slaughterhouse (RPH) has confirmed that beef supply to meet public demand remains available. RPH Surabaya's President Director Fajar A. Isnugroho said that they keep monitoring both the price and availability of meat to make sure supplies keep flowing smoothly. Based on observations by the RPH Surabaya Meat Monitoring Team at Tambahrejo Market on Friday (23/10), the price for top quality beef was recorded around Rp 150,000 per kilogram, while other types of beef were sold for about Rp 140,000 per kilogram. Fajar explained that this stable pricing has been a pattern since last June. RPH Surabaya regularly coordinates with the Surabaya City Government and the Regional Inflation Control Team to maintain supply and price stability.
