Supreme Court Nullifies Gibran's Certificate, Mahfud MD Urges Criminal Investigation of KPU and Dikdasmen
The Supreme Court (MA) has declared the High School Education Equivalency Certificate (Suket) of Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka invalid and null and void by law. This cassation ruling granted the lawsuit to cancel the document.
Former Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal, and Security Affairs Mahfud MD is calling for alleged violations in the certificate's issuance to be pursued criminally. He's pushing for the KPU and the Directorate General of Early and Secondary Education (Dikdasmen) to be investigated immediately.
Mahfud reckons the making of the certificate and the smuggling in of Article 18 paragraph (3) should be handled as criminal cases. However, he's leaving Gibran's fate as vice president up to political processes.

This isn't about politics anymore, this is about the integrity of the institution. Mahfud's right, those bogus recommendation letters and the sneaky insertion of clauses need to be ripped open through criminal prosecution. We gotta prove that this country still has guts.
