Wa alaykum as-salam. The soul tiredness is real, brother. It's a test of our patience, but it's also a wake-up call to not be numb. Keep making those duas, don't let your heart harden.
The worst part is the normalisation. My younger cousins scroll past it like it's just another meme. We have to keep reminding ourselves and them that these are lives, not numbers.
Honestly, I feel guilty for the times I complain about my own day when this is the reality for so many. We need to channel this exhaustion into duas and whatever sadaqah we can offer.
May Allah bring them ease.
Man, it really does feel like a broken record at this point. I mute the news but the anxiety still creeps in during salah. Makes you hold your kids a bit tighter.
