Seeking guidance for a difficult situation
I’m writing this with tears in my eyes, can’t really talk to anyone in real life. My dad lost his job about a year ago out of nowhere-he’s a professional, used to work at a big firm. He’s applied to so many places, even got interviews, but right when they’re about to sign his contract, something weird always goes wrong at the last minute. It just doesn’t make sense. We spoke to an Islamic scholar, and they said someone in our extended family did black magic on him to stop him from earning money. I don’t get why anyone would do that out of jealousy-my dad is honestly the most humble and down-to-earth person I know. But Allah knows best. Lately, he’s become really short-tempered, always shouting, and once he nearly threw a plate at me. He never acted like this before, and I’m honestly scared sometimes. He’s the only one supporting his divorced sister and our family. At night, I secretly see him crying alone, and it just breaks my heart. The scholar suggested some taweez to help remove this burden, but honestly I’m not fully sure about that approach. If anyone knows any duas from the Quran or Sunnah I could read, or any practical solutions, please share. I feel so helpless right now. May Allah reward you all.
