Seeking Advice on Making Dua During Sujood

As-salamu alaykum everyone! I recently learned that you can make dua while in sujood during prayer, and honestly, I'm a bit confused about it. Is it actually allowed? And if it is, how do you do it properly? I usually ask my dad for guidance on things like this, but I can't reach him right now, and my mom isn't as familiar with religious details.
