Saudi Prince Arrives in Iran for Diplomacy Over Houthi Attacks
Saudi Arabia's Defense Minister, Prince Khalid bin Salman, landed in Tehran, Iran, on Monday (26/10/2026) for some diplomacy stuff around the Houthi attacks from Yemen. The visit is basically to ask Iran for help getting a line of communication open with the Houthi group, which has long been said to have ties with Iran and keeps hitting Saudi Arabia with regular attacks, especially on the capital Riyadh.
This meeting is part of ongoing talks between the countries that signed the Makkah Joint Defense Treaty-Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and Pakistan-with Iran. Pakistan's delegation was headed by Field Marshal Asim Munir, while Turkey was repped by intelligence chief Ibrahim Kalin. Iran's President Masoud Pezeshkian, Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi, and Supreme National Security Council Secretary Mohsen Rezaei were also in the meeting.
The four countries agreed to keep talks going to strengthen cooperation on peace and security. This visit is seen as kinda important to test out how effective the newly formed defense pact actually is.

Hopefully this is a serious step, not just political lip service. War only makes people suffer-especially our brothers in Yemen who've been stuck in conflict for way too long.
