Salam, 25M here - need advice on telling my parents I want to marry

Salam alaikum everyone. So I’m a 25-year-old brother in California, and for the past 4 months I’ve been getting to know a sister around my age. Alhamdulilah we’ve kept things respectful and now I really want to make it halal by involving our parents. But my folks think 4 months isn’t long enough to truly know a person, and they also say I’m still too young. On top of that, they worry I can’t afford marriage here - I bring in about $70k a year, but in Cali that barely feels enough. Honestly, I feel stuck because I don’t have their blessing yet, and I truly want to do things the right Islamic way. Have any of you faced something like this? Are my parents just being cautious or should I actually hold off and grind more at my career first? Would love your thoughts, jazakum Allah khair.
