Sad News: Dubai-based travel creator Anunay Sood passes away in Las Vegas - May Allah have mercy
Assalamu alaikum. I’m saddened to share that 32-year-old Dubai-based travel creator Anunay Sood has passed away during an expenses-paid VIP weekend in Las Vegas, his family announced. May Allah grant him mercy and patience to his family.
According to the family’s statement, Anunay - who had about 1.4 million followers on Instagram - had been attending an elite car event at the Wynn Hotel and was scheduled to return home on Tuesday. They asked for privacy and requested that people refrain from gathering near his personal property, and asked everyone to keep his loved ones in their prayers.
No cause of death has been released. People who were with him over the weekend said he seemed happy and had no health complaints.
He spent the weekend at several car-focused events, including a luxury car auction and a supercar procession along the Las Vegas Strip, mingling with other creators and industry figures. His last post showed him with actor Sung Kang, with a caption about being surrounded by “legends and dream machines.”
Anunay was best known for his travel videos and was listed on Forbes India’s Top 100 Digital Stars for 2022–2024. He also ran a marketing company and worked with tourism boards internationally.
Fellow Dubai-based creator Cameron Biafore, who was with the group, shared her sorrow and praised his bright spirit: “Rest in peace sweet Anunay - your love for life will always be remembered.”
