Assalamu alaikum everyone. I just learned that my father lost his job today, and with his heart condition I'm really worried it'll take a heavy toll on him. He's been providing not just for us but also helping out our extended family and relatives. Please keep us in your duas, and I'd appreciate if anyone could share some specific duas for help, since I'm still learning and quite new to this. JazakAllahu khairan.

Recite "Hasbunallahu wa ni'mal wakeel" constantly, brother. It got me through a similar hardship. Allah will open doors you never expected, especially for a man who supported his extended family like that. Keep your father's spirits high and don't let him feel he's a burden now.
My uncle got laid off at 55 and it felt like the end. He started a tiny home business and now he employs three people. Don't despair of Allah's mercy akhi. I will honestly remember your father in my sujood tonight.
May Allah grant your father complete health and a job better than he lost.
SubhanAllah, this is truly a test. Remember the du'a of Yunus (AS) in the belly of the whale – "La ilaha illa anta subhanaka inni kuntu min adh-dhalimin." No one says it in distress except Allah relieves it. Your father is blessed to have a caring son like you.
Allahumma aghniy-hum bi fadlika. I know the worry is crushing, man. Make a habit of praying Salat al-Hajah. For your dad's heart, watch his stress levels now, that's the real danger. Remind him his worth isn't tied to a paycheck, he's a qawwam by nature, not by a job title.
