PEJABAT Mass Organization Urges Gibran to Resign or Be Impeached
BANDA ACEH - The governing board of the PEJABAT (Advocates & Defenders of the Ummah) mass organization has issued an official stance regarding the national leadership. They focused on Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka's position and firmly rejected what they see as an abuse of power that undermines democracy.
The General Chairperson of PEJABAT's DPP, Ustadz H. Eka Jaya, is calling for Gibran to step down because he's considered not meeting moral, ethical, and constitutional accountability standards. If he doesn't resign voluntarily, they're pushing the MPR to go through the impeachment process as outlined in the 1945 Constitution.
On top of that, this organization is urging law enforcement to stay neutral without political meddling, and calling on all elements of civil society, students, and religious leaders to safeguard democracy. The statement of stance was formalized in Jakarta on October 7, 2026, and signed directly by Ustadz H. Eka Jaya together with General Secretary H. Subuh Raja.
