Only Two Months Free, Bima Man Gets Caught in Narcotics Case Again
Bima – MRQ, aka QL (29), was arrested again by the Bima Kota Police, just two months after he breathed free air from Kuripan Prison in Lombok. He was picked up along with two others, DI (28) and SM (33), in a bust involving suspected methamphetamine abuse at a guesthouse in Ule Village, Asakota District, on Sunday (25/10).
Asakota Police Chief IPTU Mirafuddin explained that the arrest started with a tip from the public. The ops team sent to the scene managed to secure QL and DI in one of the guesthouse rooms around 9:20 a.m. local time. During a search, officers found dozens of empty plastic ziplock bags, a glass pipe, measuring spoons, two daggers, cell phones, and more than 2 million rupiah in cash.
Following further investigation, officers nabbed SM on the Ule-Melayu highway. In his statement, QL admitted the illegal stuff came from an acquaintance named King, whom he met while serving his previous sentence.
The three alleged suspects along with all the evidence have now been secured at the Asakota Sector Police station. This case will be handed over to the Bima Kota Police Narcotics Unit for further legal proceedings.
