Nusron Wahid Skips KPK Summons Over Land Bribery Case
Minister of ATR/BPN Nusron Wahid didn't show up for a KPK investigator's summons on Wednesday (10/7/2026), citing internal agendas. KPK Chairman Setyo Budiyanto expressed disappointment over this and reminded him of Nusron's earlier statement in the media where he said he'd respect the legal process. KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo urged public officials to set an example and not hold up law enforcement, because Nusron's testimony is needed to shed light on the bribery case tied to the HGB arrangement for PT Summarecon Agung Tbk.
In this case, eight people have been named as suspects, including four who are said to be close to Nusron: former Kebumen Regent Arif Sugiyanto, Golkar politician Fahd El Fouz, Erwin, and Muhammad Fakhry. They're suspected of managing billions of rupiah in bribe money from various land services, with Fahd as the final collector. During a sting operation on September 14, 2026, the KPK seized over 106.3 billion rupiah in cash, including 31.86 billion rupiah and foreign currency found at Arif Sugiyanto's house.
A follow-up search at the East Java BPN Regional Office on September 24, 2026 turned up hundreds of millions of rupiah in cash, jewelry, documents, electronic evidence, and an ATM suspected of being a holding account. The case is still being developed to piece together the full picture of what happened.
