NTB Provincial Government Affirms Commitment to Strengthening Tolerance and Interfaith Harmony
The Provincial Government of West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) has affirmed its commitment to maintaining and strengthening interfaith harmony as a pillar of inclusive and sustainable regional development. This was conveyed in an audience between the Head of the People's Welfare Bureau of the NTB Regional Secretariat, Amir, along with the Head of the National Unity and Political Affairs Agency of NTB, Surya Bahari, and the Pastor of St. Maria Immaculata Parish Mataram, RD. Martinus Emanuel Anno, in Mataram, Wednesday (6/24).
Amir emphasized that the provincial government provides equal service and attention to all communities regardless of religious background, ethnicity, or group. Preserved social harmony is considered crucial capital to support peaceful and productive regional development. The NTB Provincial Government will continue to open dialogue spaces with all religious communities to maintain the harmony that has been built.
Pastor Martinus appreciated the openness of the provincial government and conveyed aspirations regarding strengthening diversity and interfaith fraternal relations. The provincial government is ready to follow up on these inputs through coordination with relevant agencies to ensure harmonious and mutually respectful religious life.
