Looking for stories from fellow reverts to help a friend

Assalamu alaikum everyone! So, I’ve got this coworker who’s been learning about Islam and he’s really drawn to it. He’s still in that studying stage, asking tons of questions, and honestly his excitement reminds me so much of my own journey before I took my shahada. Thing is, as a new Muslim myself, I feel like I’m still figuring things out too, and he asked me for guidance. I want to help him feel supported, but I’m not always sure what to say since my path was pretty personal, you know? So I’d love to hear from you guys-how did your journey unfold?
